Pet Policy Of Delta Airlines

Small cats, dogs, and domestic birds fly on U.S. trains, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, except Hawaii. Animals cannot be allowed on all international flights in First Class, First Class, or Business Elite. Any domestic flights may be subject to this limitation.

Eligibility of Age:

The pets must be in the cabin within the United States for at least ten weeks of age. They must be at least 16 weeks old before joining the USA on a foreign trip. They must be at least 15 weeks old before they travel to the European Union.

Route Restrictions:

In Delta, pets may not be brought to or from Australia, Barbados, Dakar, Hong Kong, Dubai, Iceland, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, the U.K., and the United Arab Emirates. Only in a cabin will service animals travel to or from South Africa, Hong Kong, and the U.K.

Emotional Support Pets

The pets with disabled passengers are allowed to fly without charge in the cabin. Travelers should issue at least 48 hours’ notice to the airline. Delta adheres to the Air Carrier Access Act by authorizing passengers to fly without charge in cabins with animals with social assistance or psychiatric care.

On Delta Airlines Flights, puppies and cats below the age of 4 months as service or emotional support animals of delta airlines will not be admitted on December 18, 2018. Delta Airlines will not be allowed to fly with emotional service animals until 48 hours before departure: veterinary health forms and immunization reports, letters written by a qualified veterinarian or specialist in mental health, and the training signed.

The cabin may be used for a one-way charge, paid at check-in, for small dogs, cats, and domestic birds. You must fit your pet in a small air-conditioned pet carrier that provides in front of you under the table. Pets are counted as a single object in-cabin kennels.
